In short
- Haggel connects people buying and selling used items across India (Haggel Delivery only where we deliver). You must be 18 or older.
- Sell only your own items, describe them honestly, and follow the Prohibited items list.
- For Haggel Delivery, the buyer pays through our payment partner, we check and deliver the item, and we pay the seller 24 hours after delivery.
- We check listings and chats to keep people safe, and we can remove content or limit accounts that break these terms.
1About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and To be added before launch, trading as Haggel (“Haggel”, “we”), for haggel.in and our apps. By using Haggel you agree to them and to the Privacy notice. If we change them, we tell you before the change applies.
2Who can use Haggel
You must be 18 or older and able to make a contract under Indian law. One account per person. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what happens on your account. Haggel is for people selling their own personal items, not businesses or dealers.
3What Haggel does
We run a marketplace where people list items, chat and agree deals. Haggel doesn't own, buy or sell the items; the sale is between the buyer and the seller. For Haggel Delivery we also provide the payment collection (through our payment partner), the pickup check, the delivery and the payout, and we're responsible for those services.
4Listing items (seller terms)
When you list, you confirm that: the item is yours and you have it; it's allowed (see Prohibited items); the photos are yours and show this item; the title, details, condition and price are accurate and complete, including any faults. We may review, edit the category of, send back or remove a listing. Listings are checked before they go live, partly automatically.
5Offers and deals
An accepted offer is a deal at that price. Buyers and sellers should complete deals they agree to; repeated no-shows or cancellations can limit your account. Offers expire at the time shown.
6Meet-up deals
The buyer pays the seller directly. Haggel isn't part of that payment and can't refund it. Follow the Safety tips.
7Haggel Delivery
- Buyer pays: the buyer pays the item price plus any charges shown, through Cashfree Payments India Pvt Ltd, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator. We collect it on the seller's behalf.
- Pickup check: our partner checks the item against the listing at pickup. If it doesn't match, the order is cancelled and the buyer refunded; the listing goes back to the seller to fix. The check is a visual and working check at the door, not a warranty.
- Delivery: as described on the Delivery page.
- Cancellations and problems: as described on the Refunds & cancellations page.
- Strikes: a seller gets a strike for a missed order (cancelling after the buyer paid, not picking a pickup time, or not being there when our partner comes) or an item not as described (it doesn't pass the pickup check, or isn't handed over after it passed). A buyer gets one for refusing to pay at the door on pay on delivery. Each strike counts for 12 months. At the limit for its type, Haggel Delivery (sellers) or pay on delivery (buyers) turns off until a strike drops off, and while a seller has a strike their listings show lower in search. Anything Haggel or our partner caused doesn't count. Sellers see their strikes in Account → Reliability; if you think one is wrong, contact us.
- Seller payout: we pay the seller the sale price minus any seller charges shown before the sale and any tax deducted by law, 24 hours after delivery, if no problem was reported. A reported problem holds the payout until we decide. Payouts go only to a UPI ID or bank account in the seller's name, verified with their PAN. We can hold a payout if we suspect fraud or a chargeback.
- Money you owe: if a sale is reversed because the item didn't match or a problem is upheld against you, or the buyer's bank reverses a payment (a chargeback) because of your item, we can recover the amount, and any charge for a failed pickup check shown in the fees, from your future payouts.
- Tax: the Income-tax Act 2025 (section 393, formerly 194-O) requires us to collect sellers' PAN and, above the limits it sets, deduct tax from payouts. We issue a certificate for anything deducted.
8Fees
Meet-ups are free. Haggel Delivery has a delivery charge that depends on the kind of item, paid by the buyer. We show it and any other charge, including GST, on the listing and at checkout before you agree or pay, the same for every payment method. A charge shown struck through isn't charged. We never add a charge you didn't see.
9Payments
Pay for Haggel Delivery only in the app. Never pay a seller or anyone else outside the app for a delivery order. Refunds go only to the original payment method.
10Community rules (what you can't post or do)
You must not post, send or share anything that (IT Rules 2021, rule 3(1)(b)):

- is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invades someone's privacy (including bodily privacy), harasses on the basis of gender, is racially or ethnically objectionable, relates to money laundering or gambling, or promotes enmity between groups;
- is harmful to children;
- infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other right;

Also: no scams, advance-payment requests, fake payment proof; no sharing payment details in chat; no spam or repeated unwanted messages; no abuse, threats or hate; no fake reviews; no trying to take deals off Haggel to avoid its checks.
11How we keep Haggel safe
Listings are checked automatically (Google Gemini) and by our team. Chat messages and photos are checked automatically (OpenAI) to block payment details and hide scams and abuse. Breaking the rules can lead to hidden messages, removed listings, strikes, slower messaging, a mute, loss of Haggel Delivery or pay on delivery, or suspension. If we get it wrong, ask for a review from the message or listing, or contact us.
If you break these terms we may remove content and suspend or close your account straight away; you may be liable under the law; and we report offences we must report (for example under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023 or POCSO) to the authorities.
12Reviews
Reviews must be honest and about a real deal. We may remove reviews that break the community rules.
13Your content
You keep ownership of your photos and text. You let us use them to run and promote Haggel (showing your listing, resizing photos, checking them for safety), until you delete them.
14Closing your account
You can delete your account in Settings, unless an order, payment, refund, payout or problem report is still open. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
15Our responsibility
We try hard to keep Haggel running and safe, but we can't promise it'll always be available or error-free. For meet-ups and items themselves, the seller is responsible for the item. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Indian law.
16Complaints and disputes
Contact us first: Contact & grievances. If a complaint isn't solved, write to our grievance officer. These terms are governed by Indian law; courts in Hyderabad have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to go to a consumer commission where you live.
17Changes
We'll tell you about important changes by email or in the app before they apply.
